PoolSense Illawarra respects your privacy. This policy explains what personal information we collect, why we collect it and how we handle it, in line with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles.

What we collect
We only collect information you give us directly:
- Your name, email address, phone number and suburb when you send an enquiry through our contact form, email us, call us or visit the store
- Details about your pool that you choose to share, such as pool type, size and the issue you need help with
- Your address, when you book a mobile service so our technician can attend
We do not collect payment card details through this website.
How we use it
- To respond to your enquiry and provide quotes
- To schedule and carry out maintenance, repair and delivery services
- To keep service records so we can advise you accurately on return visits
- To contact you about work we are doing for you
We do not sell, rent or trade your personal information. We do not send marketing material unless you have asked for it, and you can opt out at any time.
Who we share it with
We do not pass your personal information to other businesses. We only share it where needed to do the job you asked for, for example passing your address to our own technician, or where the law requires it.
Website services
Like most websites, some parts of this site are delivered by third-party services. Our styling loads from a content delivery network (Tailwind CSS), and the maps on our home, instore and contact pages are provided by Google Maps. When your browser loads these, standard technical information such as your IP address is sent to those providers under their own privacy policies. We do not send them your name, contact details or anything you type into our forms.
Enquiries sent through our contact form are delivered to us by email using Resend, an email delivery service. Resend handles the details you enter only to deliver your enquiry to us.
We use Google Analytics to understand how people use this site, such as which pages are viewed and how visitors find us. Google Analytics uses cookies and collects information such as your approximate location, device and browser, and the pages you visit. It does not receive anything you type into our forms. We have turned off Google's optional data-sharing settings. You can opt out with Google's browser add-on at tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout.
How we store it
Enquiry and service records are stored securely and kept only as long as needed for service history and our legal obligations. We take reasonable steps to protect your information from misuse, loss and unauthorised access.
Access and correction
You can ask us at any time what information we hold about you, and ask us to correct or delete it. Call (02) 4285 6531 or email sales@poolsense.com.au and we will sort it out promptly.
Complaints
If you believe we have mishandled your information, contact us first and we will do our best to resolve it. If you are not satisfied, you can complain to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at oaic.gov.au.
